WYNN L. WHITE, P.E.

Wynn has been solving problems for clients since 1969

In those days, the problems were land subdivision related (like street and drainage layouts). Wynn worked with his dad's firm on the following aspects of subdivision design:

  • Overall layout
  • Street design
  • Drainage design
  • Water distribution system design
  • Sewage collection and treatment system design
  • Construction observation

Wynn cut his water system design teeth on a rural water distribution system that had over 100 miles of water distribution lines, two elevated water tanks, and two high production water wells.

He cut his sewage system teeth on a town's sewage collection and treatment system that included sewage collection lines, sewage pump stations, and an activated sludge treatment plant.

Wynn went on to become a licensed sewage treatment plant operator where he learned what really works (and what doesn’t) for his future projects.  Designing projects with operation and maintenance in mind reduces change orders and real everyday operational headaches.

Wynn left his dad's firm for work in the big city (Indianapolis) where the firm he worked with analyzed flows within the interceptor sewer system (up to 120" in diameter). Wynn was instrumental in developing an algorithm to combine circular chart depth data along with velocity profiles into real flow data. He also designed a three cell oxidation pond sewage treatment plant.

Wastewater brought Wynn south in 1980 (I'll bet Wynn is the only person you know who was carried south by sewage).

Wynn’s design experience includes large diameter gravity interceptor sewers, sewer force mains, and potable water distribution mains.

Wynn incorporated his own firm in 1987. Since then he has worked on over 500 environmental projects and has been the principal-in-charge on over 2,000 projects.  He developed the firm's master asbestos and mold remediation specifications and is a Principal Engineer on the firm's engineering projects.

Our firm typically manages the projects, from defining the problem and project goals through monitoring of construction.  We prepare plans and specifications, assist the owner in obtaining construction bids, and manage the contractor monitoring/observation.

One of our largest forensic projects included determining the cause of moisture/mold in a multistory hotel.  The work included coordinating the project team and providing liaison to the owner.  Disciplines included civil, environmental and mechanical engineering; operating engineers; and testing and balancing personnel. The field work included wall and ceiling moisture assessment, bore scoping interstitial spaces, window installation investigation, cladding system evaluation, HVAC system evaluation (differential pressure, temperature and relative humidity) and mapping the data.  Moisture control in building experience consists of analyzing forensic data, reviewing HVAC test and balance reports, and providing recommendations for corrections. Subsequent work included providing expert testimony.

Our expert witness philosophy is that we are a friend of the court. Our job is to give an engineering opinion that will help the trier of fact reach a reasonable decision (we tell it like it is, not necessarily like our client might wish it).

Our firm is a pioneer in Louisiana's asbestos management industry. Our firm completed more school system asbestos inspections and management plans by the original deadline than any other firm.

Our asbestos work carried us from mostly commercial buildings to the petrochemical sector. We help schools, commercial, and petrochemical facilities manage and mitigate asbestos, mold, lead, hexavalent chromium, silica, and noise.

In addition to that, the firm is an accredited training organization and has trained professionals throughout the USA:
