Wynn L. White, P.E.

Projects do not always go as planned. Environmental issues and site conditions can create uncertainty.

Wynn L. White brings a steady, experienced perspective to these situations. He helps teams understand conditions, weigh practical options, and make informed decisions based on real-world circumstances.

Meet Wynn White

Wynn L. White began his career working on a survey crew for his father’s engineering firm in Indiana. That early field experience shaped a practical understanding of how projects come together outside of the drawings.

He went on to work on a range of civil projects, including water systems, wastewater infrastructure, subdivisions, and roadways, with experience spanning both design and system performance. As a licensed sewage treatment plant operator, he gained firsthand insight into how systems function over time and what is required to keep them operating effectively.

His work later expanded to large interceptor sewer systems in Indianapolis, where he analyzed flow in major pipelines and helped develop improved methods for interpreting field data.

In 1980, his work brought him to Louisiana, where he continued focusing on water and wastewater systems before establishing Wynn L. White Consulting Engineers in 1987. Since then, he has worked on thousands of environmental and infrastructure-related projects, often helping teams understand complex conditions and determine practical next steps.

As regulatory and industry challenges evolved, his work adapted. From supporting schools across Louisiana with asbestos-related concerns to addressing mold and moisture issues as they became more prominent, his focus has remained on helping clients understand building conditions and respond with practical, workable solutions.

Wynn is a registered professional engineer in multiple states and remains active in professional and industry organizations. He also serves as a speaker and has provided engineering opinions in legal matters, with an emphasis on clearly explaining technical issues to support informed decisions.

He is also a co-author, with Chris White, of Lead Learning Hazard and Mold Prevention Guide. These publications reflect the same practical, experience-based approach found in his project work, focusing on helping teams understand building conditions, manage environmental risks, and make informed decisions in real-world settings.

Published Industry Expertise

A Trusted Source on Lead & Mold Detection

Helping Schools & Facilities Take Action

It takes a foundational understanding of issues like lead, mold, and indoor environmental conditions to recognize what may be affecting a building and what it means for the people inside it. Without that baseline, it’s difficult to know how to respond or what steps to take next.

These published resources are designed to help schools, families, and organizations build that understanding. They explain how these conditions develop, what to look for, and how to approach them so decisions can be made with greater clarity.
